Response to FAQ on Urban Infra Business Leadership Awards 2022




1. What are the procedures to apply for this award?

The nominee or his/her representatives can submit a nomination online by filling out a form. Once we receive the application form we will share the invoice for the payment of the nomination fee and once the payment is received into our bank account, a final confirmation mail will be sent to the nominee.

2. How many categories are there in this award?

There are two categories - Individual and Corporate. This award is open to industry leaders (Government as well as Non-Government) who are leading the industries like Rail & Metro, City Infrastructure, EPC Construction, Transit & Mobility, PMC & Consultancy, Planning, R&D, OEMs/Equipment Suppliers, Infra Financing Bodies and Allied Industry.

3. How many years have you been presenting this award?

This is the 2nd Edition of Excellence in Rail Infra & Mobility Business Leadership Awards 2022. The first edition was conducted in 2020. The award programme was not conducted in 2021 due to the pandemic situation. The programme name is now changed to Urban Infra Business Summit & Awards.

4. How many companies are going to participate in this event?

As of now, we can't tell you the names. However, we are receiving 10 to 15 queries from various companies on this awards programme. 

5. Is the programme virtual or physical?

The programme will be physical. In case there is any possibility of a pandemic, the programme will be scheduled virtually.

6 . What awardee will get in this award program?

The awardee will:
  • Get a name and fame in the industry.
  • An artistic trophy as a token of his/her extraordinary contribution to the industry.
  • Recognised with 'Certificate of Appreciation.
  • Be featured in the Special launch of 5 coffee table books 75 industry leaders transforming India's urban infrastructure.
  • Get a chance to be interviewed by our editorial team and get featured in our leading industry magazines - Urban Transport Infrastructure and Metro Rail Today.
  • A list of winners will also be featured in our popular B2B magazines.
7. What are the key dates for the Awards?
  • Nominations for Awards (Closing Date): 25 July 2022
  • Announcement of Winners: 15 August 2022
  • Delegate Registration: 1 June – 30 July 2022
  • Awards Ceremony: 9th September 2022 
  • Venue: India International Centre, New Delhi, India
8. Is there any nomination fee for nomination?

Yes. The nomination fee is Rs 35,000 + 18% GST (USD 500, EUR 450). 

9. How will I know I am selected as a winner?

The result of the shortlisted nominee will be informed through email, phone calls and also will be uploaded on our websites.

10. What if I am not selected?

In case you are not selected for the award ceremony, 50% of the nomination fee will be refunded excluding GST.

11. Who can make a nomination for the awards ceremony?

The award will be open to those who meet the eligibility criteria of the Urban Infra Business Awards  Awards 2022.

12. How many nominations can be made from the same company/organisation?

There are no limits to how many nominations can be made from the same company or organisation as long as the nominees meet the eligibility requirements for the awards.

13. Can I nominate myself on behalf of my company

We accept self-nominated and third-party entries for both organisations and individuals. The nomination should be done by self or authorised representatives.

14. What format is required to submit or upload the profile of a nominee? Is there any word limits?

We accept only the PDF format and the profile of the nominee should be 150 to 250 words.

15. Are our submissions confidential?

Yes. All submissions are treated as highly confidential. Only the jury members and judges can view the same.

16. How are the jury/judge members selected?

Judges/jury members are selected from a pool of experienced members of our editorial advisory board. Each one is asked to declare any interest they have such as former colleagues or employers so that the judging process can be carried out fairly.

17. What will happen after I submit a nomination?

We will ask for payment of the nomination fee. Once received, we will review all submissions against the set criteria. If you have missed anything important, we will contact you to clarify. Thereafter we will send all submissions to the judging panel for review and shortlisting. The result of the shortlisted nominee will be informed through email, and phone calls and also will be uploaded on our websites.

18. What happens if I win and am not able to attend the award ceremony?

If you are shortlisted, we will contact you to find out if you are attending the award ceremony. If you are unable to attend the ceremony, we will ask you to provide us with the contact details of some1 who could collect your award on your behalf. If no person is available to collect your awards physically then we will dispatch all materials to your given address.

20. How are the awards financed?

Every year, our awards programme gets bigger and better. Our continued success and growth is largely facilitated and supported by sponsors and partners.

21. When and where the ones can watch the award programme.

The programme will be streamed on our official YouTube channels and social media platforms. Any person can join as a delegate, in case the award programme is conducted physically.

22. Is there any fee to get access to the award ceremony venue?

We run this awards programme as a social enterprise and although we have some great sponsors who support us. We believe in the principle of fairness and expect you to pay for what you are used and consume. We do ask you to consider contributing to the cost of your entry.

23. Can finalists attend the award ceremony free of cost?

Yes. They will get free access passes to the award ceremony.

24. Is there any option to promote our company? If yes, then what are the criteria for this?

Definitely yes.. You can promote your company by sponsoring the award programme in various categories.

25. How does sponsorship work? What will you provide if I do sponsorship?

To a business it means everything. It reflects your customers’ opinion of your business and drives new business referrals. You can leverage this award to thank customers, staff and returning and new business development.
