New Delhi, India, December 7th, 2023 – The 3rd Urban Infra Business Summit & Awards 2023, organized by Urban Infra Group, was a significant event honoring exemplary leaders and corporates for their exceptional contributions to India's infrastructure sector.
Among the esteemed recipients was Ms. Rinaj Pathan, honored as the ‘Modern Metro Woman of the Year' for her exemplary contributions at PMRDA, advocating innovation for inclusive urban connectivity in the metro landscape.
Ms. Rinaj Pathan, Chief Engineer at PMRDA, has been instrumental in leading the project from inception. On deputation from Maharashtra's Public Works Department, she crafted the Concession Agreement, managed project execution clauses, and innovatively addressed
financing. Her achievements include optimizing land acquisition for a 50 Ha brownfield area,
transparent tender procedures, and securing Viability Gap Funding of Rs. 1225 cr. As the first woman Chief Engineer in Maharashtra's Public Works Department, Ms. Pathan's fast decisionaking, engineering expertise, and unwavering commitment have ensured the project's efficient and time-bound execution, earning widespread acceptance and support.
The recognition, presented by Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Choudhary, Vice Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Vadodara, in presence of dignitaries from the nodal ministries, government departments, Public Sector Undertakings and prominient player from the private sectors symbolizes acknowledgment for Ms. Pathan's outstanding leadership and innovative contributions within the railway sector.
The 3rd Urban Infra Business Summit & Awards are a platform dedicated to honoring corporates and individual leaders in recognition of their extraordinary contribution to developing major infrastructure projects in India through innovative ideas, products, and services.
