Among the esteemed recipients was Ms. Sarika Panda Bhatt, honored as the ‘Safe Urban Commute Promoter of the Year’ for her relentless efforts, championing safe urban commuting and fostering community-driven initiatives for city transit safety.
Ms. Sarika Panda Bhatt, Director at Nagarro and Founder Trustee of Raahgiri Foundation, leads the Raahgiri Day movement in Haryana and supports its replication across India. With 20 years of experience in urban development, transport, and architecture, she focuses on sustainable mobility, road safety, and women-centric public spaces. Sarika spearheads Haryana Vision Zero initiatives and holds the title of Bicycle Mayor of Gurugram by BYCS, Netherlands. Recognized globally by TUMI, Germany, she is among 60 women leaders transforming urban mobility. Formally trained as an architect and urban planner, Sarika's impactful work extends to street redevelopment and various cities in Haryana and Delhi.
The recognition, presented by Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Choudhary, Vice Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Vadodara, in presence of dignitaries from the nodal ministries, government departments, Public Sector Undertakings and prominient player from the private sectors symbolizes acknowledgment for Ms. Sarika's outstanding leadership and innovative contributions within the sector.
