Abhijeet Sinha currently serves as the National Program Director for the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) program and is the Country Director (India & UAE) at Advance Services for Social & Administrative Reforms (ASSAR). He also holds an additional charge as Project Director for National Highways for Electric Vehicles (#NHforEV2020). Recognized as a Technocrat turned Policy Entrepreneur, Abhijeet has pioneered innovations like the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) and the Annuity Hybrid E-Mobility (AHEM) for electric mobility infrastructure, working closely with stakeholders to convert National Highways into E-Highways under the EoDB program. His work is supported by NITI Aayog, the Ministry of Science & Technology, and several Cabinet Ministers.
Abhijeet’s expertise extends beyond his primary roles. He plays a vital role in shaping India’s emerging technology sector, contributing to micro-level tech economies that align with the macro tech-economic vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also holds the Project Director role in several ambitious pilot projects such as DIISHA, National Highways for EV, Drone Pilot, and Swachh Bharat Mission - Cleantech, transforming industries through emerging technologies.
Previously, Abhijeet was part of the 2014 PM Modi campaign with the Citizen for Accountable Governance (CAG) team. His early career involved corporate banking and project consulting for Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) initiatives, with a focus on green energy and climate projects. He is also an ISO Certified Energy Consultant with 18 patents and has contributed significantly to several global climate initiatives in collaboration with organizations like UNDP, UNICEF, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
In addition to his leadership at ASSAR, Abhijeet serves on the Advisory Board of the Steel Users Federation of India and the India Think Council, and is a facilitator for the India Smart Utility Week (2019-20). His contributions have been pivotal in driving government flagship programs and transforming the landscape of India's technology and energy sectors.
