Vinita Srivastava has over two decades of experience in public administration, railway management, infrastructure development, and heritage preservation. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated strong leadership in policy implementation and project management across various public sector organizations. Currently, as the Chief Vigilance Officer at NCRTC, she is responsible for ensuring transparency and integrity in governance. Previously, she served as Executive Director (Heritage) at the Railway Board, where she spearheaded initiatives in railway heritage conservation and policy development. Her role as Joint Secretary & Additional Managing Director at the National Mission on Cultural Mapping involved overseeing cultural asset mapping and preservation projects. She has also contributed to strategic planning and policy-making as Officer on Special Duty in the Ministry of Steel. Additionally, as Director of Engine Development at RDSO, she led advancements in diesel engine testing and alternative fuel innovation.
Vinita’s educational background includes a Chevening Science-Innovation-Research Fellowship from the University of Oxford, an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Railway Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering. Her expertise spans heritage conservation, railway operations, public policy, project management, and governance.
