Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Choudhary currently serves as the First Vice-Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (University), Vadodara. This Central University, under the Ministry of Railways (Govt. of India), is dedicated to the entire transportation sector and logistics. Prof. Choudhary, also a Professor of Electrical Engineering at IIT Jodhpur, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the summit.
With a Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur and a B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering from MBM Engineering College Jodhpur, Prof. Choudhary has a diverse background. Prior to his academic roles, he had a prolific career in the Technology Industry, holding leadership positions in top electronics, semiconductor, and telecom companies.
During his tenure at Samsung R&D Center in Bangalore, Prof. Choudhary served as the Senior Director and Head of the System LSI R&D (Semiconductor Chip Business). He played a key role in the development of world-leading technologies, including the world's first 5G chip and the world's first 108 Megapixel camera for mobile phones.
Prof. Choudhary's contributions extend beyond the corporate world; he actively participates in national missions, serving on the 5G and 6G Task Force (Department of Telecom, Govt of India) and holding positions such as Finance Committee Chairman at the Semiconductor Laboratory SCL (Ministry of Electronics & IT). He is also an Independent Director on the board of Jodhpur Discom (Electricity/Energy Dept).
A recipient of several awards, including the "University Gold Medal," "Young Achiever Award," and "Patent of the Year Award," Prof. Choudhary is recognized internationally for his outstanding contributions to the fields of transportation, logistics, semiconductor, and telecom industries.
