New Delhi, India, December 7th, 2023 – The 3rd Urban Infra Business Summit & Awards 2023, organized by Urban Infra Group, was a significant event honoring exemplary leaders and corporates for their exceptional contributions to India's infrastructure sector.
Among the esteemed recipients was Mo-Bus (Capital Region Urban Transport), honored as the ‘Most Preferred Urban Bus Transit System of the Year’ for being the most preferred urban bus transit system, enhancing urban mobility with reliability.
CRUT initiated MoBus operations in Odisha's Capital Region in 2018, providing sustainable mobility options and expanding to Rourkela in 2023. Known for its inclusive approach, CRUT launched Mo E-Ride for last-mile connectivity, employing individuals from marginalized sections. It manages India's first fleet of e-Rickshaws. Operational principles focus on accessibility, affordability, inclusivity, smart solutions, and responsiveness. CRUT plans to procure 200 e-Buses for green mobility. During Cyclone Fani, CRUT swiftly mobilized its fleet, and amidst the pandemic, it facilitated frontline worker transportation, transformed bus shelters, and organized Bus Pathasala for crew training. With 40% of the CREW being women, CRUT actively promotes gender equality in the public transportation sector.
The recognition, presented by Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Choudhary, Vice Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Vadodara, in presence of dignitaries from the nodal ministries, government departments, Public Sector Undertakings and prominient player from the private sectors symbolizes acknowledgment for CRUT's outstanding leadership and innovative contributions within the urban transport sector.
The 3rd Urban Infra Business Summit & Awards are a platform dedicated to honoring corporates and individual leaders in recognition of their extraordinary contribution to developing major infrastructure projects in India through innovative ideas, products, and services. A total of 30 (9 individuals and 21 corporates) were felicitated with the 3rd Urban Infra Business Summit & Awards.
