New Delhi, India, December 7th, 2023 – The 3rd Urban Infra Business Summit & Awards 2023, organized by Urban Infra Group, was a significant event honoring exemplary leaders and corporates for their exceptional contributions to India's infrastructure sector.
Among the esteemed recipients was National Highways for EV (NHEV), honored as the ‘Most Innovative PPP E-Mobility Project of the Year’ for pioneering efforts in public-private partnership for e-mobility, shaping the future of EV infrastructure on National Highways.
The "National Highway for Electric Vehicle by 2020" initiative is a pioneering intercity e-mobility program, supported by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Ministry of Power. It focuses on Ease of Doing Business (EODB) through Single Window Clearance (SWC) for setting up charging stations on National Highways. Since April 2018, two routes, Delhi–Agra (Yamuna Expressway) and Delhi–Jaipur (NH 48), are being prototyped under the "NHforEV2020" program, aiming to establish India's first electric vehicle corridors with an international standard charging ecosystem, ensuring minimal CAPEX and self-sustainable OPEX with government support.
The recognition, presented by Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Choudhary, Vice Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Vadodara, in presence of dignitaries from the nodal ministries, government departments, Public Sector Undertakings and prominient player from the private sectors symbolizes acknowledgment for NHEV’s outstanding leadership and innovative contributions within the transport sector.
The 3rd Urban Infra Business Summit & Awards are a platform dedicated to honoring corporates and individual leaders in recognition of their extraordinary contribution to developing major infrastructure projects in India through innovative ideas, products, and services. A total of 30 (9 individuals and 21 corporates) were felicitated with the 3rd Urban Infra Business Summit & Awards.
