India to host First Global Semicon Expo & Summit 2025 on 11th December in New Delhi

New Delhi, India (17 September 2025): Urban Infra Group has officially announced the launch of the first edition of Global Semicon Expo & Summit 2025, to be held on 11th December 2025 at the NDMC Convention Centre, New Delhi. The landmark international conference will bring together global and Indian stakeholders of the semiconductor industry to explore emerging opportunities and forge strategic partnerships to make India a global semiconductor hub.

Themed “Viksit Bharat 2047: Roadmap for India's $1 Trillion Semiconductor Economy,” the one-day event will feature keynote sessions, technology showcases, policy dialogues, investor roundtables, and exhibitions of Made-in-India chip innovations.

The announcement comes in the wake of India’s historic achievement of launching its first indigenous semiconductor chip on 2nd September 2025, unveiled by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

"India is no longer just a consumer of technology — we are becoming its creator. With the launch of our first Made-in-India semiconductor chip, we have taken a monumental step towards Aatmanirbharta in the high-tech sector,” said Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, at the national unveiling ceremony earlier this month. "The semiconductor industry will be the backbone of a Viksit Bharat. I invite global leaders to partner with India in this journey of innovation, scale, and resilience,” he added.

The Global Semicon Expo 2025 will focus on critical areas including chip design and fabrication, OSAT and ATMP infrastructure, investment policies, startup ecosystems, and supply chain localization for strategic sectors like electronics, automotive, defence, space, and telecom.

"Our government’s Semiconductor Mission is not just a policy framework — it is a mission to transform India into one of the world’s top destinations for semiconductor innovation and manufacturing,” said Union Minister for Railways, Communications, Electronics & IT Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, in a recent statement.“India has the talent, scale, and leadership to power the global chip supply chain of the future,” he added.

The event is expected to attract participation from semiconductor manufacturers, foundries, fabless innovators, technology OEMs, government agencies, venture capital firms, and research institutions from India and abroad.

“The Global Semicon Expo & Summit 2025 will serve as a catalyst to connect India’s bold semiconductor ambitions with global expertise, capital, and collaboration,” said Mrs. Mamta Shah, MD & CEO, Urban Infra Group, the organizing body behind the event. "We are proud to initiate this global platform at a time when India’s chip ecosystem is gaining worldwide momentum. We invite all stakeholders to join this historic movement,” she further said.
